JUROR BIOGRAPHY
Angela Brooks , AIA, LEED A.P.

Angela Brooks, AIA, a recognized leader in the field of environmental and sustainable design and construction, has been practicing architecture for 15 years. Since 1999, she has been a principal at the Santa Monica office of Pugh + Scarpa, where she is responsible for overall project and construction management. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and was both project architect and LEED Certification consultant for Colorado Court, a sustainable affordable apartment building in the city of Santa Monica that achieved a LEED Gold rating. Ms. Brooks was a founding member and past President of the Board of Livable Places, a non-profit development company dedicated to developing compact, sustainable mixed-use developments on under-utilized parcels of land in Los Angeles County. Currently, she sits on the Advisory Board of Solar Santa Monica, a program whose mission is to achieve net zero energy imports by 2020 for the city of Santa Monica; a model that can be replicated throughout the country.
